Ten o článek se zabý á ýukou českého jazyka na kanadských aame ických uni e zi ách se zaměře-
ním na ozdíly me odologii, poče s uden ů apodpo u ins i ucí. Za ímco e opské p og amy čas o
ycházejí zcen álně předepsaných osno , se e oame ická ýuka upla ňuje „o e řený přís up“, y-
ářený jedno li ými yučujícími apo řebami s uden ů. Údaje onízkém poč u s uden ů ukazují na
nes abilní pos a ení bohemis iky. Článek aké ozlišuje mezi yučujícími, k eří k ýuce češ iny při-
s upují jako k ědeckému poslání, a ěmi, k eří ji přijímají znu nos i zaměs nání, což má důsledky

THE STATE OF CZECH STUDIES IN CANADA
In Canada, Czech is augh only a he Uni e si y o To on o, he mos p ominen
