Lingua intellegens, UAB, company code 304701806, VAT identification number LT100013859610, registered at Dariaus Gerbutavičiaus g. 12-194, Vilnius, Lithuania, is the controller of personal data processed for SciEEE, except where we process data on behalf of a customer under a separate agreement.

Information we process

Depending on how you use the Service, we process account information (email address, display name, role, password hash, and session information); security and technical information (IP address, browser, device type, requested URL, referrer, timestamps, and server logs); search and document-access information; and information in documents or URLs you choose to submit.

Subscription and payment information

For paid plans, we process your selected plan, subscription status, upload allowance, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and billing-related events. Stripe processes payment-card details, billing address, payment method, tax identifiers, invoices, and payment status as our payment processor. SciEEE does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.

Why we process information

We process personal data to provide and secure the Service, authenticate accounts, process subscriptions, calculate applicable taxes, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, comply with legal obligations, and improve reliability and usability. The legal bases are performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential secure session and anti-forgery cookies for authenticated accounts. A first-party visitor identifier may be used for aggregate analytics in hashed form. Features such as bookmarks may use local browser storage. Removing essential cookies signs you out; browser storage can normally be removed through browser settings.

Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the Service, such as hosting, security, analytics, translation, and payment providers, including Stripe for payments. Those providers may process data outside your country under the safeguards described in their applicable terms and privacy documentation.

Retention

We keep account and document-submission records while the account is active or the records are needed to operate the Service. We retain billing and tax records for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law. Security and analytics records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security, debugging, aggregate analytics, legal compliance, and service operation.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal data, and may withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence, work, or the place of the alleged infringement; in Lithuania, this is the State Data Protection Inspectorate.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect data, including secure authentication controls and restricted access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
