Albina AUKSORIŪTĖ L. IVINSKI’S “NATURAL” TAXONS DESIGNATIONS Laurynas Ivinskis (1810-1881) — one of the most famous 19th a. century Samogitian educators — į He entered the Lithuanian cultural history as the first publisher of calendars in Lithuanian language. Jo ‘Calendar or The "Ukrainian" version was released in 2000. 1846 1867 The content of the calendars is very varied since they — were intended for peasants, it is considerable L. Ivinskis gave practical advice on agricultural issues, knowledge of history, astronomy, folklore, ir explained subjects of zoology, botany. Iš of the articles on botany in the calendars show that L. Ivinskis was interested in this ir area quite was himself su ja familiar. In three calendars he printed (1862-1864) his article “Prigimtiné”, where he discussed living still life, ir botany, zoology, mineralogy. In this category L. Ivinsky gives a classification of plants according to Linnéa ir Sjöström. But the greatest L. Ivinski's natural science work “Prizigtumené” is little known, as only a manuscript has survived. jo In this work the author reveals himself as a good botany expert and creator of Lithuanian botany ir terms. L. Ivinsky planned to write three The manuscript is part of the "Natural History", but so far only two parts of this manuscript have been found. First part of the manuscript “Natural. Taj ira: surašzimas dalyku žemės, žoliun giwoliu ir parodimu anun su wartojimo” (hereinafter referred to in this article simply as “Prigimtumenė”) is stored in the library of Lithuanian Literature ir Folklore Institute, consists of ją pages. 42 Work L. Ivinskis begins with an introduction, in which he explains the word prigimtumenė darybą“ prigimtumenė, “<...> became isz dwijun word: Nature is a crowd. ir " In this case L. Ivinskis was probably wrong, it is probably a compound word of adverbial o ne verbs. Natural L. Ivinskis divides it into į three parts: “<...> pasidarie trinn didijej Separately, as ordinary, no nature teacher wadin: nature kingdom: 1. The Queen did not fight or Earthquake. 2. Queen of half-life or Grass58
because. 3. Royal ivy or Giwolenes’ (p.1). Further in the introduction, the author writes that for the purpose of learning a clearer ir understanding he divides the large sections into more detailed ir sections. ir Separate. Regnum. The kingdom. Skajdma. Division. Division. - Noodalis. Classis. Division. You're gone. Sub-classis. Sub-section. Hey. Order. Rzed. Paella. Sub-Ordo. Subordinate. My friend. Family. Family. Rieztas. Sub-variety’ (p.2). For naming categories L. Ivinskis tries to find Lithuanian terms, o some of which he ir creates himself. Po short introduction, already on the third page, the author begins a da description of the kingdom's dead or maps. In this part, he covered grasslands, soils, the šo largest mountains of Žemaitija, marshes, lakes, rivers, stones, metals and other still nature. ir In the same library is stored this ir L. Ivinskis’s manuscript of the indexes of the part of the work “Surašzimas žemieminu. Index Fossiliorum. Spis mineratow- ", which contains four indexes of Lithuanian, — Latin, Polish and German terms. In the Polish ir library MA In Krakow is preserved the second L. Ivinskii Part of "Naturality" “The nature had the same things of the earth, the herb was shown ir in the same su way. List of minerals, plants and i living organisms (strong), sutejkta pairs L. Ivinski. Part 2. Often 2. vegetative. Grass. Vegetabilia. Krokuwa. Cracoviae, Krakow, Krakau." A copy of this manuscript is The Library of the Academy of o Sciences, jį 59
about which K. Jankevičius and R. Jankevičienė have written. They discussed this part of the manuscript found in Krakow, and since the manuscript starts only from page 43, they concluded that L. Ivinkis without writing the planned introduction of the work. They did not know that the introduction and the first part of the work were written and preserved in Lithuania. In the second L. The lower part of the plant is covered by the upper ir part of the plant. Most of the list is a systematic list of plants, named by genus, belonging to families. 2521 215 There are Lithuanian, Latin, Polish, and sometimes o German names of ir the genus. Continue L. Ivinskis provides alphabetical indexes of plant names mų “Surašzimas žoleniu, taj ira zoliun medziu pagat rodbalsu ejtos ir 1. Lietuviszkaj". Other arrows named in Latin — “Index plantarum”, in Polish — “Regestr rošlin" in ir German — “Directory of Plants”. Plants in your work L. Ivinski sets out, based on the Joule system, which is the first natural system. iš L. Ivinsky's work contains many interestiir ng original tribal names, which are not recorded neither in “Lithuanian Dictionary of Botany” (LBZ, nei 1938), “Lithuanian language dictionary” (LC). The author has put ir several species names, but the terms of plant species are given very little. This article will not deal with the names of genera, which would require a fairly extensive study, but will try to briefly discuss the names of taxa of systematic categories. All the plants discussed in his work L. Ivinskis divides į 3 the division — of unleaved, ir single-leaved, and two-leaved: skajdma I — Belapes. Acotyledoneae — Wienlapes. Monocotyledoneae ir — Two-legged. Dicotyledoneae. The word skajdma is given LKZ XII 659, ji we find ne only L. Ivins' work, but in other ir ancient writings. L. Irving used the name of the group. The author further divides į the divisions, e.g. : Nuodalis II. 1998-1999 classis II. 1998-1999 Kerpes. Lichenes. Lizards. Flechten (lichen) (p. 71), Nuodalis III. classis III. Zalumina. Chlorophyta (Zinc) (p. 77) ir kt L. Ivins- 'Jankevičius K,Jankevičienė R. Some new data on L. Ivinskis's works in the field of Lithuanian botanical terminology// Botanikos klausimai. V, 1962. T.II. P. 151-163. 60
kis divisions divided the belapes and dvilapes divisions and used this word instead of the class used now. The word subsection is given 1. KZ VIII 911, just a different meaning. In a few cases, no terms are given for the names of the sections, but their names are usually given, for example, the names of bipedal plants: Žiedaj dwiwejslej belapenej. Apetalae monoclinae (flowers bipedal, without peduncles) (p. 153); More than a thousand pieces. Polypetala hypogvna (multi-leaved seedlings) (p. 160); Environmental protection. "Perigyna (perennials- )" (p. 184). As can be seen from the given examples, L. Ivinskis uses various terms for naming classes, single words, two words, even three words, his terms do not have suffixes characteristic only for this ti category, as do the names of — the classes used today. ir The Belapiy division is further divided by L. Ivinskis into a row and a row, which are now called a row and a row. The word eila is from Žemaitija and is now used by the Žemaičiai —the examples given in LKŽ II 1061 show that this word is found in Kretinga, Plungė, Šilalė that ir used only jj ne L. Ivinskis, but ir M. After cleaning, it is inserted ir į A Dictionary of Judo. The mushrooms L. Ivinskis divided into three rows: I Ejla. Fuck. Coniomycetes (dust) (p. 43). Eyla II. 1998-1999 Peleetene. Hyphomycetes (mollusks) (p. 47). Eyla III. Kayliette. Dermatomycetes (cailetenic) (p. 54). He also distinguished three lines of the class of lichens: Eyla I. Plumes. Cryopsorae (crusts) (p. 72). Eyla II. 1998-1999 Klessmina. Thallopsosae (Claps) (p. 74). Eyla III. Rear wheels. Podetiopsorae (GROANS) (p. 75). First row of greens Mauriomina (Wandumina). Algae (maurumina, vanumina) (p. 77) distributį ed row by row. Paella I. Plush. Schizophyceae (plush; for plg. y LBŽ 314 J.A. Schizophyllum commiine) (p. 79). Paella II. 1998-1999 Gruzhaliemina. Gonidiophyceae (grujalemmine ?) (p. 84). Paella III. Dumpliemina. Ascophyceae (duplemina) (p. 91). Paella IV. Suktmina. Gyrophykea (sighs) (p. 96). Second Zalumina class line (Eyla II. 1998-1999 Ordo II. 1998-1999 Kiminaj. Musci (chimines) (p. 97)) poeiliy have no, o the third — Paparteniszkes. Filicoideae (PAPARTENISKES) (p. 114) — distributį 3 ed row by row: 1) Parrots. Filices (partly) (p. 114); 2) Sgndriekéniszkes. Lycopodiaceae (šundriekeniškės) (p. 116); 3) Neighborly. Equisetaceae (p. 117). The single-page section has four o rows, 61
there is no distinction between the rows: 1) Žoles wandenines (grass water) (p. 118); 2) Kermuszénes. Aroideae (snowdrops) (p. 120); 3) The game. Glumaceae (pelumina) (p. 124), and the fourth order is only mentioned, its name is not given. L. Ivinskis does not divide the double-sided section into rows and columns. Lithuanian names of verses and poems are similar, formed with the same suffixes, for example, with the suffix -mina: verse names —klestmina, remtumina, maurumina, pelumina, poem names —plyšmina, grudžalėmina?, dumplėmina, suktmina; With the suffix -eniškės are formed 2 row names: geguženiškės, šundriekeniškės —and one row name —paparteniskés. The poetic name for ferns was found, and the name of the lines —kiminai, dulkmenos and several lines names formed with the suffix -eniai, enés: kailėteniai, peléteniai, kermušenės, krutenės. The name is a combination of two words: water and grass. As can be seen from the discussed examples, L. Ivinski’s terms with which he names verses and postverses vary, several suffixes are used to form them. Now the names of the lines are formed with the suffix -iečiai, I. Ivinskis in his work distinguishes 215 plant families, but this category he calls not the word family, but friend: draugmie. This word is not included in the LKŽ. It may be a remake of L. Ivinsky's. The first class of the non-species section, where the mushrooms are described, the names of the families vary, mainly in the plural form: Draugmie 1. Grab a bite. Praeformativi (progrybiai) (p. 43); Draugmie II Rudmin. Uredine (rudine) (p. 44); Draugmie V Pėliejėje (Sąmpliekėnėje). Mucedinei (molds; plg. LBZ 226 common mould (Mucoraceae) synonym mould; samplėkeniai) (p. 45). Draugmie VI Good luck. Musorini (flames) (p. 51). Family names differ from 5 other names: Plone. Appendix -mine also prevails 3rd class family names, e.g.: Crucifixion. Oscillatorieae (krutemine) (p. 85); That's ridiculous. Ulvaceae (p. 88); Grain mine. Ivinski's work, the names of families vary, most of the time they are derived with the suffix -mina, but there are also terms with the suffix -iniai, which is now used to form family names. Some families are further divided by L. Ivinskis and then given the names of the genera. He still makes cutouts. This word is used by L. Ivinskis instead of the now used term triba, e.g. : Riežtas I. Tribus I. Rizines. Crhyzeae (p. 122); Riežtas II. 1998-1999 Tribes II. 1998-1999 Witches. "Phalarideae (caterpillars)" (PDF). The word rėžtas is presented in LKŽ XI 511, it was used not only by L. Ivinskis, but also by other authors, but with a completely different meaning. Scissors are only given in the second and third sections. In addition, the name of the family is not used to distinguish them from the other families, but rather to distinguish them from the other subfamilies of the same family. : Draugmie VI. Good luck. Mucorini (flushes) (p. 51). A. Plewiedr. Rhacodiei (pleweds) (p. 52) B. Plewiēdras reālas. "Mucorini genuini" (p. 53) C. Spirūnaj. Pilobolei (spikes) (p. 54). Draugmie XXVI. Crucifixion. The names of the tribes, like the names of the families, are varied, mostly they are made with the suffix -inės, e.g. : Riežtas V. Smilgines. Aggressive (smilginės) (p. 124); "I. Dimitrov". Rafflesieae (major) (p. 152); Riežtas II Watermelons. Cucurbiteae (watermelons) (p. 188); I. Bludwines. Ocymoideae (bloodworms) (p. 227) and others. Ericeae (Eryngiaceae) (p. 215); Usnes. "Carduaceae" (PDF). pp. 253. There are also some trib names where the plural form of the genus name is given, e.g. : Potatoes. 64
Euphorbiae (Potatoes) (p. 150); Balandas. Cyclolobeae (balances) (p. 158); Rajsztwes. Cedreleae (Ties) ( p. 174); Pepper. Pipereae (pepper) (p. 148); "Bezdaj (Aliwas)". Sumbuceae (Willows, Olives) (p. 248) ir kt In addition, the tribes are divided į into o genera, the names of the species of the tribes are given only one another, e.g. : CCL III. Guilty. Claviceps. Ivinskis manuscript, it is possible to draw brief conclusions that in the second L. The work of Ivinskis In the "Natural" part, plants are arranged systematically. For naming categories L. Ivinskis uses Lithuanian terms, some of which he apparently invents himself. Now the term class is used, o L. Ivinskis uses the division (classis), while in place of the modern Latin term triba he uses the term réztas iš (Tribus). The words prirodtumené prijateljmé are not recorded anywhere at — all, they were probably used only ir L. Ivinskis. The names of the groups of individual systematic categories vary, but L. Ivinskis tries to standardize — some names with some adverbs, su others o — su in others, for example, the names of friends are usually su made up of the suffix -mina, and the predominant suffix of the districts is -inés. L. Ivinskis’ work “Naturality” is interesting and important when ir looking at the beginning of the į creation of botanical terms. It is a pity that this work was not printed. The manuscript was ir jo unknown to Lithuanian botanists for a long time, but it has not lost its value today. ir 65
