It explains more than 10,000 terms from theoretical and applied electrical engineering, electrical energy, electrical machines, control engineering, electrical drives, electronics, computer science, light engineering and other fields related to electrical engineering, presents their German, English, French and Russian equivalents and Lithuanian definitions. The dictionary user application allows you to search for a term by a word or part of a word in any of the dictionary languages. The publication is primarily intended for students of andragogy, andragogy practitioners and teachers preparing andragogy specialists. The preamble states that the terms are arranged in alphabetical order (p. 5), but the presentation is not always consistent: some compound terms are presented according to the first, others – according to the alphabet of the main word, and there are a number of terms presented in the wrong place. After the introduction and description of the structure of the dictionary, a section “Concept of Immunology and Allergology” is inserted, which introduces the development of these branches of science in the world and in Lithuania. The publication is intended for students of transport specialties of higher and higher schools. It explains the terms used in the manuals and official documents of international transport organizations, in scientific literature. The material in the manual is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces the international and Lithuanian transport and logistics organizations, describes their main objectives, structure, nature of activities. The second chapter introduces the trans-European transport networks. The third section is a glossary of the main terms of intermodal transport and logistics. Terms are explained in detail, sometimes the concept of the term or the peculiarities of its use are commented on, synonyms are provided and numerous illustrations are included. Almost all Lithuanian terms are accompanied by their English equivalents, and many of them also have German, French and Russian equivalents. Terms are divided by themes (multimodal transport, freight transport units and load units, freight transport infrastructure and equipment, intermodal passenger transport, intelligent and smart technologies, sustainable mobility). The fourth chapter is an alphabetical glossary of customs terms. The most important terms used in the Customs Act and INCOTERMS terms of the set of terms of international trade contracts are separated into separate subsections of this chapter. As Vytautas Jusys, Chairman of the Lithuanian Ornithological Commission and Head of the Ventės rago ornithological station, notes in the introduction of the publication, due to the increased activity and professionalism of ornithological observations in recent years, new bird species are registered in Lithuania almost every year. The Lithuanian list of birds has been supplemented by forty species since 2000 (p. 4). This list contains Lithuanian, Latin, English and German names of 379 species registered in Lithuania. The Latin names are given in accordance with the recommendations of the Association of European Records and Rarities Committees. Bird species names are grouped by genus. Next to the name of the species is indicated its category and status (migrating, wintering, breeding, etc.). The names of rare bird species are accompanied by the date of the first sighting, the number of individuals and the number of times seen until 1 October 2012, the periods of unusual sightings. When observing a species marked with LOFK abbreviation, please fill out the form, the reference to which is attached. The entire text of the publication is presented in three languages – Lithuanian, English and German. The tables attached after the introduction explain the bird species categories and status certificates.
