Polish became he dominan language while Li huanian was conside ed pagan and was ough agains in schools, chu ches, poli ics, e c. only peasan s con inued o use Li huanian du ing hese imes. Zinke ičius men ions he ac s when peasan s we e punished o saying hei p aye s in Li huanian (256).
