The electronic edition of the Explanatory Dictionary of Computing Terms appeared in 2015, and a year later the Vilnius University Institute of Mathematics and Informatics published a printed edition. The explanatory translation glossary consists of more than 5100 articles covering the basic computer terms that the user sees on the computer screen or finds in educational materials. The dictionary provides established, widely used and new terms, considered by the MII Informatics Terminology Commission, evaluated by IT specialists and linguist terminologues. Alphabetical seal. A short definition and English equivalent are provided next to the Lithuanian term. The dictionary includes synonyms, abbreviations, and corrections to non-presentable terms. The relationships of some terms with other related terms are indicated. The articles for some terms provide additional information. Lithuanian terms are interspersed. At the end is an index of English–Lithuanian terms. The publication was prepared under the project “Localization of publicly relevant software, creation of necessary tools for applications”. It presents the main terms of pharmaceutical botany and pharmacognomy, their synonyms, formulas of chemical compounds found in plants, systematic (IUPAC) and non-systematic names, describes the investigated pharmacological effects. Pharmaceutical botany terms include general terms of plant anatomy, morphology and systematics. The structure of a plant is described at the cell, tissue and organ level. Pharmacognostic terms are based on the classification of biologically active compounds (primary and secondary metabolites), which is based on the chemical structure of the compounds. The publication describes methods of phytochemical qualitative and quantitative analysis, instrumental analysis, used reagents. The textbook is intended for students of pharmaceutical and other biomedical specialties, practitioners of these fields, employees of pharmaceutical industry and scientific institutions. The list is alphabetical, but some terms are nested. Alongside the Lithuanian term is a definition, sometimes a broader explanation. Lithuanian terms are not spelled. Chemical formulas are added to the names of chemical compounds, the structure is shown in diagrams. Synonyms are provided. There are no equivalents in other languages. In addition to the Lithuanian names of the plants mentioned in the definitions, Latin names are indicated.
