The dictionary prepared according to the first edition of the international nomenclature Terminologia antomica, approved in 1998, contains 7,674 Latin anatomy terms and their English and Lithuanian equivalents. The publication was prepared by a group of anatomy specialists from the University of Health Sciences of Lithuania and the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University. In the preface to the dictionary, a brief overview of previous publications with Lithuanian anatomy terminology is presented. General anatomy terms and terms referring to body systems, body cavity organs and structures are divided into sixteen chapters. The terms are presented in tables: in the first column – International Anatomical Nomenclature numbers, in the second – Latin, in the third – English, in the fourth – Lithuanian terms. The translation explanatory dictionary prepared by the members of the Lithuanian Geographers Society contains 3,405 most commonly used and most important geographical terms. It is the first systematic dictionary of terms covering various geographical areas. In the preface to the publication, a brief overview of previously published geographical dictionaries and other publications containing geographical terms is given. The dictionary is intended for geographical knowledge of nature and society, landscape planning, environmental protection specialists, territory planners, students, teachers, pupils, geography teaching aids and everyone interested in geography. The terms are divided into five main topics (general geography, natural geography, social geography, landscape geography and landscape planning, cartography and geoinformatics), which are divided into smaller topics. Sealed alphabetical blister. Beside the numbered Lithuanian terms are given definitions, if any, synonyms, as well as English, Russian and German equivalents of Lithuanian terms.
