(King Boris Fir) in Bulgaria Keywords: Abies x borisii-regis Mattf., horology, ecology The present study summarizes and enriches the available information on the localities of Abies xborisii-regis Mattf. in Bulgaria. Introduction Materials and Methods The information available in the three authorized herbariums in Bulgaria was analyzed: Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research - Sofia (SOM), Faculty of Biology of Sofia University (SO) and Agricultural University - Plovdiv (SOA), as well as from specialized databases. Personal data from newly established or confirmed localities of the species in Bulgaria were added to the available information. Results and Discussion Conclusion The results of the study summarize and supplement the information on the horology and ecology of Abies x borisii-regis Mattf. in Bulgaria. They also add new scientific information on King Boris Fir for which studies in Bulgaria are extremely few, especially in the field of ecological studies of the species. Of the three herbariums visited in Bulgaria, deposited specimens of King Boris Fir were found only in SO with numbers: № 96060 and 103695 from 1992 and 2004 respectively. Information about the remaining known localities of the species in Bulgaria was collected from scientific publications and online databases. As a result, 22 localities of the species were identified in Bulgaria (Fig. 1). Of these, 11 are found in Rila. Four (4) each in Slavyanka and Western Rhodopes and two each in Belasitsa, Pirin and Middle Rhodopes.
