D5.1 - Corporate Image and Communication Tools

AXIA Innovation GmbH

Abstract

The public Deliverable 5.1. “Corporate image and communication tools” is presented in this document and aims to illustrate the process behind the creation of the visual identity of the BIO-SUSHY project. Building a strong and unique visual identity helps to establish the project recognition and allows people to remember it and associate it with a specific image or logo. The document is organized into two main sections: Corporate Image and Communication Tools. In the first section, Corporate Image, the document outlines the project’s visual identity, including the logo, colour palette and fonts. It provides guidelines for maintaining consistency in the project’s visual identity and explains how to use the project’s Word and PowerPoint templates. The document lists available templates, such as the deliverable template, presentation template, meeting agenda, meeting minutes, participant list, and consent photography. It also describes the project’s communication material portfolio, which includes a leaflet, brochure, roll-up, poster, presentation pitch, lanyard, and folder. The second section, Communication Tools, describes the project’s website and social media channels. It provides guidelines for creating social media posts using the project’s social media post templates. The document concludes with a summary of the project’s communication tools and how they can be used to promote the project. This document is a comprehensive guide to maintain the visual identity of the project and to create effective communication materials, such as presentations, posters, and social media posts. By following these guidelines, the project can create a consistent and professional image, enhancing its visibility and impact.

Introduction Building a strong visual identity and creating targeted communication tools to be used throughout the project is crucial, as it helps to build a recognisable and professional image for the research project, improving its perceived value, impact, and success. Below some of the main reasons are listed: • Brand recognition: A solid visual identity helps to establish brand recognition and awareness of the research project. Stakeholders, target audiences, and the general public are more likely to remember the BIO-SUSHY project and associate it with its unique logo and colour combination. • Communication: A strong visual identity can make complex research findings and concepts more accessible and easily understood. The BIO-SUSHY project can effectively communicate its research topic to a wider audience using clear, concise, and visually appealing graphics and images. • Consistency: A uniform visual identity helps to maintain consistency in all project materials, such as posters, presentations, reports, and website. This improves the overall quality and coherence of the project. • Differentiation: A unique visual identity can help BIO-SUSHY differentiate itself from others in their field and make it stand out. • Engagement: A visually appealing visual identity can help to capture the attention of the BIOSUSHY target audience and engage them in the research field of “Safeand sustainable-bydesign (SSbD) organic and hybrid coatings”. • Professionalism: A well-designed visual identity conveys professionalism and credibility. This can help to build trust and increase the perceived value of the research. 16 of 34 Sustainable surface protection by glass-like hybrid and biomaterials coatings D.5.1: Corporate image and communication tools Figure 6: Extracts of the deliverable template. 2.4.2. Presentation template A PowerPoint presentation template was produced with a clear structure adaptable to each project WP with the aim of being used consistently by each partner during the project and its recurring meetings. Some of the key slides are illustrated in Figure 7. 17 of 34 Sustainable surface protection by glass-like hybrid and biomaterials coatings D.5.1: Corporate image and communication tools Figure 7: Extracts of the PPT template. 2.4.3. Meeting agenda The meeting agenda template was developed to facilitate the set-up of meetings while ensuring consistency throughout the various project meetings to be held (Figure 8). Figure 8: BIO-SUSHY meeting adenda template. 2.4.4. Meeting minutes Along with the agenda of the meeting, a template was also created for the minutes of the meeting (). 18 of 34 Sustainable surface protection by glass-like hybrid and biomaterials coatings D.5.1: Corporate image and communication tools Figure 9: Extracts of the BIO-SUSHY meeting minutes template. 2.4.5. Participant list In order to track the participant at every physical consortium meeting, a participant list was developed to be filled in and signed by attendees. Figure 10: Template of the BIO-SUSHY participant list. 19 of 34 Sustainable surface protection by glass-like hybrid and biomaterials coatings D.5.1: Corporate image and communication tools 2.4.6. Photography consent As communication activities include the public posting of pictures of meetings on the official project’s social media channels and website, consent was given to photography by all participants at the Kickoff meeting (Figure 11Error! Reference source not found.). The photography consent is a one-time activity and it provides consent for the complete runtime of the project and beyond. Figure 11: Consent form for photography and filming. 2.5. Communication material portfolio All the communication material presented in this section was created to illustrate and raise awareness of the BIO-SUSHY project and its main features, such as objectives, methodologies, and partners. It will be distributed during events, and it will be available for download from the BIO-SUSHY website. Generally, the material consisted of the following sections: • Introduction: Brief introduction of the project, including acronym, title, and objectives. • Problem statement: The challenges associated with the presence of PFAS are presented. • Solution: Brief overview of the proposed solution, including the development of innovative organic and hybrid repellent coatings with hydrophobic and oleophobic properties. 20 of 34 Sustainable surface protection by glass-like hybrid and biomaterials coatings D.5.1: Corporate image and communication tools • Methodology: A brief overview of the methodology, including SSbD strategy or using biobased thermoplastic powder, hybrid sol-gel, and bio-based additives to ensure advanced functionalization. • Applications: A brief overview of the project’s applications in the targeted validation markets, i.e., textile, glass cosmetic packaging, and food trays packaging. • Impact: A brief overview of the expected impact, such as pursuing a safer environment, developing durable water & oil repellent coatings, and creating market opportunities. • Partners: List of the consortium and partners’ logos. • CTA and contact information: Invitation to follow the project and presentation of contact information for the project’s coordinator. • EU acknowledgement. Display of the EU emblem and statement. 2.5.1. Leaflet A twopage A5 format leaflet was produced announcing the key aspects of the project (Figure 12). Conclusions The goal of deliverable D.5.1 is to effectively develop a robust and appealing project identity by month three of the Project, as well as a comprehensive communication portfolio and the main communication channels. This public deliverable describes the strategy behind creating the identity of the project, from the choice of colours to the development and use of its logo and communication materials. The communication tools used in the project, such as the website and the two social media accounts LinkedIn and Twitter, were also prepared and described. They will serve as the main point of contact for external audiences and target broad communication and dissemination of the project with technical and non-technical audiences. A more detailed report of actions for the wide and effective promotion of BIO-SUSHY will be reported in the next WP5 deliverables, such as the upcoming D5.2 - Plan for the Dissemination and Exploitation including Communication activities (PDEC) updated (Public) planned for month six. Furthermore, dissemination and outreach efforts will be regularly analysed to ensure achievement (and overachievement) of the planned KPIs listed in the GA.
