Soliyeva PhD student of Namangan State University https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17451849 Abstract. The article discusses the issues of improving the methodology of using software and methodological support in developing students' independent learning and work competencies. Keywords: independent learning, independent work competencies, software and methodological support, informatization of education. Introduction In the era of rapid development of modern information technologies, meaningful, systematic and effective teaching of software engineering remains one of the pressing issues. Teaching approaches that combine traditional, interactive and innovative methods are needed to form practical skills in students along with solid theoretical knowledge. Research and practical observations show that project-based learning, problem-based learning, and demonstrationinteractive methods are highly effective in teaching the software department. In particular, students' abilities to think independently, analyze problems, formulate an algorithmic approach, and develop software solutions are developed precisely through practical exercises and real projects. Thus, the use of project-based, interactive, and practical approaches in teaching software engineering is an integral part of modern education and an important factor in developing students' professional skills and digital literacy. There are a number of studies in scientific sources aimed at developing students' independent work skills. In his research, N.A. Muslimov emphasized the importance of taking into account the age, interests, and abilities of students when organizing the teaching process in educational institutions [1]. Researcher M.Y. Sobirova defines independent work as follows: "Various types of individual and group cognitive activities carried out by students in and outside the classroom." [2] T.B. Isakova explained in her research: “First of all, the student's independent work is the result of his properly organized educational activities in the classroom, which encourages him to independently expand, deepen, and continue them in his free time.” [3] Accordingly, the student's educational work organized and managed by the teacher (in the classroom and outside the classroom under the teacher's guidance) should act as a clear program given to him for his independent activity in mastering the subject of study. This means that for the teacher it is necessary not only to clearly define his own educational action plan, but also to consciously form it in students as a certain scheme for mastering the subject of study in the process of solving new educational problems. To solve the problem of organizing a creative process in order to develop students' independent learning activities, it is necessary to ensure the optimal relationship between learning and educational information. It is necessary to develop ways to implement modern information technologies in the educational process. One of the current issues is the implementation of lessons that are related to increasing the activity of students instead of the traditional teacher's activity and SCIENCE AND INNOVATION INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL VOLUME 4 ISSUE 10 OCTOBER 2025 ISSN: 2181-3337 | SCIENTISTS.UZ 96 explanation of all the material. In this regard, it is important to develop and organize students' independent learning in the educational process, to help them independently search for, find, and master the relevant educational material, and to form a creative attitude to this educational material. In order to determine the conditions necessary for the development of students' independent educational activities in the educational process, it was necessary to examine some of the pedagogical and psychological aspects of educational activity that are specific to it. Subjective novelty, as a characteristic feature of independent educational activity, creates an opportunity to manage the student's educational activity. In this case, what is unknown and new for the student must be known to the teacher. However, this condition is necessary, but not sufficient. It is required to use methods that allow the teacher to direct this activity to the area of knowledge needed. The principle of cyclicality associated with the educational process requires that in the current era, higher education institutions are faced with the task of transforming them into educational and scientific complexes that combine deep fundamental research with a wide range of highly qualified specialists. According to most scientists, this task can be solved only when each student of a higher education institution actively participates in scientific research, practical and theoretical research, and the application of scientific achievements in practice, together with teachers. The results obtained from the practice should be consistent with the implementation of the teaching function of the subjects to be studied. This rule is considered one of the processes of organizing the educational process in higher school didactics. The development of independent educational activities in students of a higher educational institution also contributed to their involvement in planned scientific research work. It proves that the development of independent educational activities of students of the Faculty of Physics in the process of studying physical sciences can be a means of jointly solving educational and upbringing issues related to the development of independent educational activities. Many scientists, including L.I. Rubinsky, V.P. Bespalko, V.G. Razumovsky, believe that the training of highly qualified specialists who are able to continue their education during their professional career is an important task of higher education that needs to be taken into account. Developing independent learning activities Education Internet system Electronic textbooks Brainstorming Training classes Debate SCIENCE AND INNOVATION INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL VOLUME 4 ISSUE 10 OCTOBER 2025 ISSN: 2181-3337 | SCIENTISTS.UZ 97 During this activity, the future specialist not only master’s professional knowledge and methods of its formation, but also creates new knowledge and socially significant experience. From the above, it directly follows that it is appropriate to develop initial independent educational activities in the study of physics and theoretical physics by students of physics faculties of higher educational institutions. The following is a structure for developing students' independent learning activities. This structure for developing learning activities can be presented in the form of 6 different block approaches, namely: The diagram shows that effective aspects of developing students' independent learning activities include organizing training sessions based on modern pedagogical technologies. Studying the course of computational methods creates favorable conditions for the development of the above-mentioned independent educational activities in students. It allows students to better master the next subjects, for example, theoretical physics, nuclear physics, and contributes to the growth of their educational activities. Consequently, the ability of future teachers to solve problems arising in new conditions increases significantly. Graduates who are aware of the research work of the higher education institution and who have mastered the methodology of teaching subjects should actively participate in improving the system of working with students of schools, secondary specialized, and vocational educational institutions. In the process of developing independent learning activities of university students, they learn to use the acquired knowledge to find ways to solve didactic problems. Scientists believe that students' learning activities consist of four components: • Planning tasks and methods of activity; • Organizing actions; • Providing evidence for proof; • Self-examination; The structure of the activities of students of the Faculty of Physics to develop independent learning activities consists of the following: • Identify a problem to be solved; • Identify and apply methods of behavior; • Find ways to solve the problem; • Conduct scientific research; In this way, using innovative methods to develop these qualities and qualities in young professionals, creating problem situations to teach them, and providing them with knowledge on this basis, will yield positive results. Competencies are a set of professional and personal qualities that allow a person to function effectively in real-life situations, based on the integration of knowledge, skills and attitudes. Among them, the following are important: • Communicative competence – communication skills, clear expression of ideas and active listening; • Information – communicative competence – the ability to use digital tools, search, analyze and sort information; • Problem-solving skills – critical thinking, decision-making; • Social and civic competence – teamwork, responsibility, initiative; • Self-development and assessment – reflection, willingness to work on oneself. The main tasks of the teacher: SCIENCE AND INNOVATION INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL VOLUME 4 ISSUE 10 OCTOBER 2025 ISSN: 2181-3337 | SCIENTISTS.UZ 98 The foundation of the Third Renaissance is being firmly built, and we are all contributing to this process. Continuous professional development is a process of a teacher's regular updating of his knowledge and skills, upgrading his qualifications and improving his professional activities during his pedagogical activity. This process turns the teacher into a specialist who is open to innovations, striving to become a possessor of professional competencies, an innovative thinker and a competitive specialist. In forming the above competencies in students, the teacher: • As a motivator, he awakens students' intrinsic interest in learning; • As a guide, he chooses an approach that is appropriate for each student; • As a facilitator, he creates a creative and interactive environment; • As an evaluator and analyst, he identifies and encourages the stages of student development. Using modern methods The following are important in developing competencies through pedagogical approaches: • Project-based learning – develops students’ independent thinking, teamwork, and time management competencies; • Interactive methods (debate, role-playing, problem-solving) – improves communication and problem-solving skills; • Digital technologies – increases efficiency in information search, analysis, and presentation preparation. When introducing a competency-based approach to the educational process, the following key competencies are distinguished: 1. Educational competence Academic achievements Intellectual tasks Reading skills and knowledge use 2. Personal competence Developing individual skills and talents Knowing your strengths and weaknesses Ability to reflect Dynamics of knowledge 3. Independent reading competence Ability to study independently, organization of personal independent study Responsibility for the level of independent learning activities Using knowledge, skills, and competencies that are adapted to the rapidly changing environment Continuous independent analysis and monitoring of activities SCIENCE AND INNOVATION INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL VOLUME 4 ISSUE 10 OCTOBER 2025 ISSN: 2181-3337 | SCIENTISTS.UZ 99 The formation of students' independent learning competencies is an important task of the organizational and pedagogical process of higher education. These competencies help students successfully master professional knowledge and skills, engage in self-education and selfdevelopment, and prepare for independent professional activity. The organizational and pedagogical features of the formation of students' independent learning competencies may include:  Purposeful orientation of the educational process. Students' learning should be aimed at developing their independence, active participation in the educational process. Teachers should set themselves the goal of developing students' ability to self-organize and work independently.  Creating conditions for independent study of educational material. Students should be given the opportunity to independently study course materials, for example, using various educational platforms and online content.  Recommendations for literature and additional materials for self-study can also be given. Development of self-organization skills. Teachers should help students develop selforganization skills, for example, planning educational tasks and time, the ability to regulate their educational activities, the ability to exercise self-control and self-esteem.  Using interactive teaching methods. Using interactive teaching methods helps students to actively participate in the learning process. Such methods can include group work, discussions, presentations, project tasks, etc. It is important that students are active participants in the learning process.  Gradual increase in the level of complexity of tasks and requirements. Gradual increase in the level of complexity of tasks and requirements allows for the gradual and systematic development of students' learning competencies. It also helps to develop higher cognitive abilities such as analysis, synthesis, evaluation.  Support and motivate students. It is important to create an atmosphere of support and motivation among students. Teachers can help students in their learning activities, discuss their problems and questions, and create conditions for the manifestation of their creative potential. 4. Social competence Collaboration, teamwork, communication skills Development of personal qualities Ability to make independent decisions, to identify one's own needs and goals Competent attitude to personal health Social integrity, determining one's place in society Physical health SCIENCE AND INNOVATION INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL VOLUME 4 ISSUE 10 OCTOBER 2025 ISSN: 2181-3337 | SCIENTISTS.UZ 100 The formation of students' independent learning competencies requires the joint activity of the teacher and students. It is important that both components of the educational process actively participate and interact with each other. Only in this case can we achieve the effective formation of students' independence and readiness for professional activity. The organizational and pedagogical features of the formation of students' independent learning competencies include the following aspects:  Development of the student's active position. The organization of the educational process should contribute to the development of student activity and independence. This can be achieved by using active learning methods (group work, problem assignments, project activities), creating conditions for independent search for information (libraries, electronic resources), and encouraging student self-organization and self-management.  Creating conditions for the development of independence and self-control. Students should have the opportunity to independently set the goals and objectives of their studies, plan their educational activities, and monitor their results. It is also important to create a feedback system that allows students to recognize their mistakes and shortcomings and suggest ways to eliminate them.  Developing the skills of independent search for information and critical thinking. Students should learn to independently search for and analyze information, assess its reliability and applicability, and make decisions based on available information.  Use of modern information and communication technologies. Modern technologies such as the Internet, electronic libraries, online courses significantly facilitate the process of independent learning of students and make it more effective. They allow you to access a large amount of information, communicate with other students and teachers, exchange experience and knowledge.  Individualization of the educational process. Each student has his own individual characteristics and needs, therefore it is important to take them into account when organizing education. This can be achieved by differentiating the educational process, adapting the program and teaching methods to the needs of each student. Such organizational and pedagogical features allow students to acquire independent knowledge, analyze and apply knowledge, and develop critical thinking skills, which is an important condition for their successful professional activities. The organizational-pedagogical model of the formation of students' independent learning competencies is based on the following features: 1. Goal setting: defining the ultimate goal of developing students' independent learning competencies, which should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound. 2. Organizational structure: creating a favorable organizational environment that promotes the development of students' independent learning competencies. This includes creating group and individual work forms, organizing collective and individual consultations, and allocating time for independent work. 3. Methodological apparatus: the use of various methodological techniques and technologies that help students actively and independently participate in the learning process. These can be various group and individual assignments, projects, research, independent work with educational materials, etc. SCIENCE AND INNOVATION INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL VOLUME 4 ISSUE 10 OCTOBER 2025 ISSN: 2181-3337 | SCIENTISTS.UZ 101 4. Teacher's example: the teacher acts as an organizer, coordinator and consultant of educational activities, supports and guides the educational independence of students. The teacher also becomes an example, demonstrating independence, activity and responsibility in his work. 5. Assessment component: the assessment system should be aimed at developing and supporting students' independent learning competencies. This can be an assessment of completed assignments, projects, independent work, assessing the level of independence and activity of students in the learning process. 6. Reflection and self-assessment: Students should be able to reflect on their learning and assess their progress in developing independent learning competencies. To do this, you can use a variety of reflective tasks, portfolios, and individual and group discussions about students' achievements and challenges. Conclusion This model allows students to develop independence, responsibility, activity, and motivation in the educational process, which helps them successfully adapt to modern educational requirements and future professional activities [4].
