According to the results of the study, it was found that innovative educational methods are more effective in developing children's cognitive abilities than traditional methods. Preschool education is a crucial stage in personality formation, during which a solid foundation is laid for a child's intellectual, emotional, and social development. In the 21st century, globalization, informatization, and technological advancements are placing new demands on the education system. Considering that traditional teaching methods cannot fully meet the needs of modern society, there is a necessity to introduce innovative approaches [1]. Reforming and improving the preschool education sector based on modern standards is one of the priority directions of state policy in the Republic of Uzbekistan [2]. Innovative education is understood as enhancing the quality of education and maximizing the development of children's individual abilities through the application of new ideas, technologies, methods, and tools in the pedagogical process. Today, digital technologies, interactive games, elements of STEM education, project methods, and other innovative approaches are increasingly being used in preschool educational institutions [3]. Methodology and literature review. In this study, the method of literature analysis was used, and in the process of analysis, existing research on the theoretical foundations of innovations in preschool education, experience of practical implementation, and pedagogical effectiveness was compared. The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 30, 2024, "On Additional Measures to Further Improve the Quality and Effectiveness of Preschool Education," defined the legal basis for the development of innovative education [2]. Among domestic researchers, M.N. Abdullaeva, in her work, considered the issue of the application of modern pedagogical technologies in preschool educational institutions, emphasizing the importance of interactive methods in increasing children's cognitive activity [1]. In the study conducted by D.K. Rashidova and Z.A. Turgunova, the issues of using digital technologies in preschool education were analyzed [3]. At the same time, they emphasized the need for a measurable and age-appropriate approach to the application of technologies, since an overly technologically advanced environment can negatively affect the psychological development of children. Russian scientist E.O. Smirnova, considering the importance of game pedagogy in preschool education, analyzed the role of modern innovative games in the socio-emotional development of children [4]. Veraksa N.E. and Komarova T.S. analyzed the application of the project activity method in preschool education using the example of the "From the World of Childhood" program, which is widely used in Russia [5]. They have proven that a project-based approach contributes to the formation of children as active researchers, developing their skills of critical thinking and collaborative work. When referring to foreign experience, it is important to study the experience of OECD countries. Fisher J. analyzed the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) program in preschool education in the UK and its innovative features [6]. Pyle A. and Danniels E. studied the application of the concept of play-based learning in Canada and proved that such an approach is the most effective way to preserve and develop children's natural interest in learning [7]. They showed that in a structured play environment, children successfully master not only social skills, but also mathematical and linguistic skills. Studying the experience of the European Union countries also yields interesting results. The Finnish preschool education system is recognized as one of the most advanced in the world, where innovations are inextricably linked with the free development of the child, play, and creativity [8]. Results and discussion. Analysis of the literature showed that the application of innovative approaches in preschool education leads to a number of positive results. Firstly, modern pedagogical technologies activate children's cognitive activity and increase their motivation for independent learning. Interactive methods, digital tools, and multimedia materials allow children to maintain their attention for a longer period compared to traditional teaching methods. This contributes to a deeper assimilation of knowledge and its retention in long-term memory [1, 3]. Secondly, innovative education makes a great contribution to the development of children's social and communicative skills. These skills are considered important competencies in 21st-century society and influence children's future success [4, 5]. Thirdly, innovative approaches play an important role in the development of creativity and critical thinking in children. Elements of STEM education, research projects, and problem situations encourage children to think logically, make hypotheses, and find solutions independently. At the same time, there are a number of difficulties and aspects that need attention in the implementation of innovative education. The first problem is the insufficient provision of many preschool educational institutions with modern technical means and innovative materials in the conditions of Uzbekistan. The infrastructure necessary for the application of digital technologies, including computers, interactive whiteboards, and internet access, is limited in many institutions[2]. The second important issue is related to the qualifications of pedagogical personnel and their training in the application of innovative technologies. Many educator-teachers, accustomed to traditional teaching methods, experience difficulties in mastering new technologies. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the system of retraining and advanced training of personnel [1, 3]. Conclusion. The role of innovative education in the process of preschool education is increasing, and this process meets the requirements of modern society. Analysis of the literature and domestic and foreign experience shows that innovative approaches significantly improve the intellectual, social, and creative development of children. Interactive methods, digital technologies, project activities, and modern pedagogical strategies, complementing traditional teaching methods, activate children's cognitive activity and contribute to the formation of their 21st-century skills. Important steps are being taken to introduce innovations in the preschool education system of Uzbekistan, but for full success, it is necessary to improve infrastructure, improve the qualifications of teaching staff, and strengthen cooperation with families. By adapting the experience of developed countries to local conditions, Uzbekistan has the opportunity to raise the quality of preschool education to the level of international standards.
