IV. DISCUSSION This talk will evaluate the findings of a systematic review of badminton technological advances, focusing on racket design and its impact on player performance. It will discuss the correlation between technological advances and the game of badminton, possible challenges, and implications for regulation and ethics in the sport. The results show that the evolution of racket design and the use of innovative materials significantly affect the performance of badminton players. Changes in racket shape and size, as well as the latest technologies in grips and shafts, allow players to develop better playing techniques(Alberca et al., 2025). Thus, there is a positive correlation between technological advancements and improved player performance. However, it is important to note that other factors, such as individual skills, game strategy, and a player's physical condition, also play a role in determining performance. Therefore, although technology can improve potential, it should not be considered the only factor that determines badminton success (Liu & Liang, 2022). The use of technology in racket and material design is not free from challenges and controversies. Some may worry that too much emphasis on technology may change the essential characteristics of the sport. Changes in equipment-related regulations are an important consideration, potentially sparking debate among players, coaches, and observers of the sport. In the face of these challenges, there must be a balance between technological development and maintaining the essence of badminton. This can be achieved through careful study of equipment regulations and cooperation between stakeholders in the sport. Ethical considerations in using technology in badminton include fair play and sporting integrity (Lin et al., 2023). Significant changes in racket design or materials can create inequality between players who can access the latest technology and those who cannot (Wen, 2023). Therefore, regulations should be updated judiciously to ensure that the changes support ethical values and fairness in sport. In the context of regulation, an adaptive framework is needed to accommodate technological developments without compromising the fundamental aspects of the game of badminton. Good regulation should balance innovation with fairness so that every player has an equal opportunity to succeed. V.
