The Map of Trustworthy AI-Powered Solutions for Youth Work and its Assessment Matrix provide youth workers with a practical guide to navigating the growing world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Featuring 24 carefully selected AI tools, the map highlights solutions that are relevant for youth work and aligned with the European Commission’s Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI. The Assessment Matrix includes 28 indicators across eight categories: This framework provides a transparent way for youth workers to assess AI tools and make informed decisions while upholding Trustworthy AI principles—transparency, accountability, and ethical use. The map helps youth workers make informed decisions when integrating AI into their practice, promoting inclusion, safety, and empowerment for young people. The AI4YouthWork consortium has successfully released the AI Training Toolkit, supporting youth workers with practical resources to guide young people in understanding and using AI responsibly. It is designed to build AI literacy, critical thinking, and digital awareness among young people while supporting youth workers in integrating AI into their practice. The toolkit offers 16 ready-to-use workshop plans, each including objectives, activity steps, preparation instructions, training materials, and debriefing tips. The workshops are adaptable to different groups, contexts, and languages, making them easy to implement in diverse settings. The toolkit delivers three main outcomes: The toolkit reflects real needs, practical examples, and youth-centered approaches. Young people taking part in these workshops gain a clear understanding of AI, awareness of its opportunities and risks, and skills to make responsible decisions when using AI tools. AI Competence Framework for Youth Workers: Validation Report ESSENTIAL AI SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE FOR YOUTH WORKERS The AI Competence Framework for Youth Workers, developed as part of the EU-funded AI4YouthWork project, defines the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for youth workers to integrate AI into their practice. This framework provides the first structured approach to AI competencies in the youth work sector and was validated by youth workers from across the European Union. The framework covers six competence areas, 17 specific competencies, and corresponding proficiency levels, aiming to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to apply AI responsibly and effectively in their daily work. It offers a clear structure to support professional development and ethical use of AI in youth programs. The validation process involved an online survey and focus groups, gathering both quantitative and qualitative feedback from participants. The study captured diverse perspectives, including demographic, regional, and rolebased differences, ensuring that the framework reflects the needs and experiences of youth workers throughout Europe. Findings indicate broad agreement on the framework’s relevance and quality, along with constructive suggestions for improvement.
