INTRODUCTION Telepharmacy plays a key role in increasing the availability of pharmaceutical services and reducing the burden on the healthcare system. It provides consultative support to patients, pharmacotherapy control, and also contributes to increasing the level of responsibility and involvement of patients. The development of digital technologies has led to large-scale transformations in the healthcare sector. pharmaceutical services has increased significantly. Telepharmacy is of particular importance for rural areas and in emergency situations. The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) has played an important role in integrating digital technologies into pharmacy practice by establishing a Technical Advisory Group to evaluate how information and communication technologies can be implemented. Combining e-prescriptions, electronic health records, telemedicine and telepharmacy, mobile health (m-health), remote monitoring, and artificial intelligence enhances the quality of pharmaceutical care and broadens patient access to these services. Educational Research in Universal Sciences ISSN: 2181-3515 VOLUME 4 | ISSUE 15 | 2025 https://t.me/Erus_uz Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal November, 2025 6 RESEARCH MATERIALS A notable example of effective telepharmacy implementation is the work of TelePharm, established in 2012 in Iowa (USA). The company was founded as a practical response to the pharmacist shortage in rural regions. TelePharm’s model relies on secure video communication and cloud-based technologies, enabling the operation of numerous pharmacies and the opening of new sites in areas where a pharmacist’s physical presence is not feasible. The organization introduced an innovative approach in which patients visit a pharmacy and are connected to a pharmacist via a secure video link, through which consultations and medication dispensing are managed using cloud systems and specialized software. Today, TelePharm is recognized as a leading organization demonstrating the viability and effectiveness of telepharmacy as a sustainable method for expanding access to high-quality pharmaceutical services. A telepharmacy investigation was carried out within the Mayo Clinic Health System (Rochester Emergency Department, Minnesota, USA) from November 2018 to November 2020. The Mayo Clinic, a nonprofit academic medical center located in Rochester, Minnesota, is dedicated to comprehensive clinical practice, education, and research. It employs more than 4,500 physicians and scientists, along with approximately 58,400 administrative and allied health professionals. The Rochester branch is recognized for its expertise in managing complex cases, particularly those requiring tertiary care and specialized pharmacotherapy. It also hosts the Alix School of Medicine, one of the nation’s top medical institutions, as well as numerous prominent educational programs. The clinic allocates over $660 million annually to research and supports more than 3,000 full-time researchers. The telepharmacy study included 24 pharmacists who delivered remote consultations. Over the study period, 279 calls and 435 interventions were documented, with nearly half of the calls originating from critical access hospitals (48.7%). The most frequent types of interventions involved medication selection and dosage adjustment (238 cases), antibiotic therapy (141), patient monitoring and follow-up (65), discharge support (56), provision of medication information (55), and allergy assessment (50). DISCUSSION AND RESULTS The study demonstrated that telepharmacy substantially enhances access to pharmaceutical expertise, increases treatment safety, and provides critical support to regions with limited resources. Telepharmacy also reduces expenses for both patients and healthcare systems, raises patient satisfaction, improves overall care experience, and contributes to better clinical outcomes—an important priority for the International Educational Research in Universal Sciences ISSN: 2181-3515 VOLUME 4 | ISSUE 15 | 2025 https://t.me/Erus_uz Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal November, 2025 7 Pharmaceutical Federation. Digital health was included among the Federation’s 21 global development goals established in 2020. Future developments in telepharmacy are closely linked to the implementation of intelligent systems capable of predicting and adjusting medication dosages based on individual patient characteristics. Integrating such dose-optimization technologies with electronic health records and smart infusion pumps will reduce the need for manual adjustments and lower the risk of medication errors. Hospital pharmacists will play a key role in this transition, providing specialized support throughout the course of illness and collaborating with external healthcare professionals to build a seamless continuum of care. Moreover, incorporating data from wearable devices and rapid diagnostic tests will enable pharmacists to offer personalized recommendations and individualized therapy. Mobile apps are becoming a critical tool for digital health, providing health monitoring, medication reminders, and remote interaction with pharmacists. The use of mobile solutions in pharmaceutical practice includes clinical support, remote monitoring, reference and information functions and organization of access to medicines. The international standard ISO 82304 provides quality control of medical applications and their labeling. Examples of specialized solutions are Telefarmacia App and TelePharm Consult. Figure – 1. US mHealth Apps Market The Figure – 1 shows how the U.S. mHealth apps market was valued at approximately USD 12.33 billion in 2024 and is expected to expand to USD 32.41 Educational Research in Universal Sciences ISSN: 2181-3515 VOLUME 4 | ISSUE 15 | 2025 https://t.me/Erus_uz Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal November, 2025 8 billion by 2033, with an estimated compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.16% between 2025 and 2033. This growth is primarily fueled by the increasing use of smartphones, enhanced internet accessibility, and the rising acceptance of mobile health technologies among both healthcare professionals and patients. Additionally, the widespread use of fitness and medical applications for monitoring and managing personal health data through smartphones is a key factor contributing to the market’s expansion. The integration of mobile health applications with national healthcare infrastructures enables the creation of digital certificates, facilitates diagnostic testing, and strengthens the regulation of access to medicines. A significant direction in this development is the connection of pharmacy information systems with national vaccination registries, which allows for the automated generation of digital immunization certificates and simplifies their verification. Additionally, platforms offering PCR testing and issuing corresponding digital certificates are being rapidly implemented.Managed access programs play a crucial role in ensuring strict oversight of the prescribing and dispensing of oral antiviral medications for COVID-19, targeting clearly defined patient groups. Mobile technologies are also used as software-based medical devices to monitor and manage various conditions, including ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and continuous glucose tracking. These digital solutions further support the ongoing professional education of pharmacists and physicians through online learning formats. Moreover, managed access systems are increasingly employed to provide patients with complex therapies, such as anticancer and biological drugs, thereby ensuring rigorous compliance with established treatment protocols. CONCLUSION Telepharmacy is a promising area of digital healthcare that can significantly transform pharmaceutical practice. It provides wider access to pharmaceutical services, reduces costs and increases patient satisfaction. The prospects for the development of telepharmacy are associated with the introduction of artificial intelligence, mobile applications and wearable devices, which will increase the individualization of pharmacotherapy and the quality of care REFERENCE: 1.
