NCCR Tools: The Migration-Mobility Survey visualization
Abstract
The Migration Mobility Survey (MMS) is addressing persons who recently arrived in Switzerland and follows them every two years. The survey was run in 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024. A custom set of visualizations allows a wide range of users to explore a subset of questions both on transversal and longitudinal ways. In order to fully use this upload, you will need a copy of the Tableau Desktop Software, as well as the datasets of the Migration Mobility Survey

Download the following files in the folder of your choice 2016 Harmonized.csv Dataset for the 2016 survey 2018 Harmonized.csv Dataset for the 2018 survey 2020 Harmonized.csv Dataset for the 2020 survey 2022 Harmonized.csv Dataset for the 2022 survey 2024 Harmonized.csv Dataset for the 2024 survey Metadata.xlsx Additional metadata Migration-Mobility Survey.tfl Transformation Application Migration-Mobility Survey.twbx Visualization Application Migration-Mobility Survey.csv Formatted Data 2. Update the location of the files in the Transformation Application. 3. Run the flows of the Transformation Application, this will update the Formatted Data. 4. Open the Visualization and update the Data.
