It highlights the importance of communicative, task-based and game-based approaches that enhance learner engagement and oral fluency. The findings emphasize that interactive classroom practices significantly improve studentsconfidence and overall speaking performance. Speaking is one of the most essential skill in English language learning because it enables learners to communicate effectively in real-life situations. Developing speaking skills requires meaningful interaction, exposure to language and opportunities to practice communicative tasks in the classroom. The role of the teacher is to create a supportive environment where students feel confident, motivated and encouraged to participate actively. This thesis explores the most effective classroom techniques and activities that help learners improve their speaking abilities focusing on interactive task-based and game-oriented approaches. Communicative techniques: Communicative language teaching emphasizes interaction as both the means and the ultimate goal of learning a language. These include attentive listening, smooth communication, gestures, asking questions and

One effective technique is pair and group work where students collaborate on small tasks and practice expressing their ideas. Activities help learners use real language and develop fluency. Another important technique is role-play which introduces students to authentic situations such as ordering food, asking for directions or solving a problem. Thought role-play learners practice using English naturally and confidently. E.g. Students are paired for role-play where one student acts as a customer and the other as a waiter. They practice ordering food and asking questions from the menu. This helps learners use vocabulary and sentence structures naturally while improving confidence. Task-based Learning Task-based activities focus on completing purposeful tasks using the target language. Examples include information-gap exercises where each student holds unique information and must communicate to complete the activity. Problemsolving tasks encourage learners to discuss share opinions and find solutions collaboratively. Such exercises enhance not only speaking skills but also critical thinking and teamwork. E.g. Students participate in an information-gap exercises. Each student receives different details about a holiday trip. They must ask each other questions to complete a travel itinerary which promotes speaking and collaborate problemsolving. Interactive games and activities Games reduce anxiety and make speaking practice enjoyable. Activities such as “Find someone who” group discussion and story-building games encourage learners to speak more freely. Younger learners benefit from flashcard games, guessing games and memory exercises that combine vocabulary practice with spoken interaction. Using games creates a relaxed environment where students are willing to experiment with language without fear of mistakes.
SCIENCE AND PEDAGOGY IN THE MODERN WORLD: PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS Vol. 3. Issue 9. 166 E.g. “Find someone Who” game encourages students to ask classmates questions to complete a checklist. Find someone who has a pet student speak freely, practicing full sentences and new vocabulary. Technology in speaking practice Digital tools can extend speaking practice outside the classroom. Voice recording apps, video projects and online discussion forums allow students to record presentation engage in virtual speaking clubs and develop pronunciation, intonation and fluency. Technology provides additional opportunities for selfpaced practice and feedback. Students record 1-minute videos about their weekly routines using a smartphone. These videos help improve pronunciation, fluency confidence while allowing teacher feedback. Conclusion Improving speaking skills requires a mix of effective teaching techniques and engaging activities. Communicative Approaches, task-based exercises and language games all contribute to a supportive and motivating learning environment. When students are given varied and meaningful speaking tasks, they become more confident, fluent and capable of expressing themselves naturally in English. Therefore, the careful selection of classroom strategies and activities is essential for successful development or oral communication skills. References: 1. Harmer J.
