Supplement: a) Generally, the document remediation specialist is the only actor who provides a document that complies with accessibility standards or can be used by BLV learners. b) This typically corresponds to a learner attempting to create an accessible remediation on their own or “coping with” an inaccessible document. c) Ideally, general or special education teachers request remediations from specialists. Some learners can have direct contact with a specialist. d) Cases of delegation to the publisher typically involve requesting a document in its original source format (e.g., as exported by the source document editor/graphic designer). e) Exceptional cases (e.g., COVID-19 period). General Rules: 1. The delegation initiator can be either the teacher or the BLV learner. 2. The BLV learner is the ultimate beneficiary of the remediation and accessible document. 3. The document remediation specialist cannot delegate further; they represent the final level. However, they can refuse to perform a remediation (e.g., poor quality, impossible deadline). 4. Close relatives or peers do not delegate adaptations; they represent the last level. 5. Human actors generally use digital technologies to remediate a document. 17 Typical Sample of Document Object Detection Discussed with Specialists The last phase of observation has been based on results of this quality. Such outputs has been used as a starting point of remediation.
