(2). Defined as: • Eumelanin low: <25, • Eumelanin intermediate low: 25 to <37.5, • Eumelanin intermediate: 37.5 to <50, • Eumelanin intermediate mid: 50 to <75, • Eumelanin intermediate high: 75 to <100, • Eumelanin high: ≥100. (3,4) First Camera Used Categorical Lists which camera was used first based on randomized sequence during testing
Regional Definitions Cooling Region of Interest The primary target region where cooling intervention was applied. An elliptical region of interest was selected using a custom Python script that matched the outline of the circle drawn on the PSIS. Control Region A standardized region that did not receive the cooling intervention, automatically created and scaled proportionally to the cooling ROI served as an internal control. Temporal Definitions Baseline Temperature measurements taken prior to cooling intervention initiation. Cooled Temperature measurements taken immediately following the cooling intervention period. Delta (Δ) Calculations Temperature change calculated as: Cooled - Baseline Negative values indicate cooling, positive values indicate warming.
