Data associated with Yabe et al. (submitted to Journal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth)
Abstract
Experimental data associated with Yabe et al., submitted to Journal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth. The paper is entitled “Effect of Dislocations on Polycrystal Anelasticity Inferred from In-situ Forced Oscillation Test.” Because of upload issues, three versions were created. In Version 3, the dataset is fully documented and represents the final and correct version. In Version 2, the README.pdf file is missing. In Version 1, the file “#133creep3.mat” contains an error.

Summary of the data uploaded to this site are given by Table A1 in Appendix A of Yabe, Takei and Sugimoto (2025, submitted to JGR). The data files are given in MATLAB format. Data file for each creep test (e.g., #132creep1.mat) contains stress, strain, strain rate, Young’s modulus E, and corrected Young’s modulus E∗as functions of time. When opened by MATLAB, each tag (e.g., creep1.stress) consists of two columns, where the first column is net time (hour) and the second column is stress (MPa) for the stress tag, strain (dimensionless) for the strain tag, strain rate (s−1) for the strainrate tag, E(GPa) for the E tag and E∗(GPa) for the Ecorrected tag. Data file for each sixor ten-frequency test (e.g., #132creep1 6f.mat) contains Young’s modulus E, and corrected Young’s modulus E∗as functions of frequency. Six frequency test contains two or three tests which were conducted successively to confirm the reproducibility. Frequency is given by Hz and Eand E∗are given by GPa. 1
