This article analyzes the norms of the language of official documents used in the field of economics and the role and significance of professional speech culture. It is shown that the accuracy, logical consistency, and standardization of the language of official documents in the system of economic relations function as an important communicative tool. The article also provides a detailed examination of the issues of professional speech culture among economists and the observance of language norms in the process of working with official documents. The research results substantiate that the effectiveness of economic documents largely depends on the level of speech culture. INTRODUCTION In modern society, the rapid development of the economic sphere is further increasing the significance of the language factor in management, financial relations, and documentation processes. At all stages of economic activity—planning, analysis, accounting, reporting, and control—official documents serve as the main communicative medium. Therefore, the normative use of the language of official documents in the field of economics is not only a matter of language culture but also one of the key factors ensuring economic efficiency. Official documents determine the legal and organizational foundation of economic relations. Contracts, orders, directives, financial statements, business plans, and analytical reports are the formal expression of economic processes and must be accurate in content, logically consistent, and legally well-grounded. Fulfilment of these requirements is directly linked to compliance with the norms of the language of official documents and to the level of professional speech culture of specialists. For professionals working in the economic sphere, professional speech culture appears as an important professional competence. An economist, financier, or manager must not only possess economic knowledge but also be able to express ideas correctly, concisely, and clearly in an official style. In written communication in particular, failure to observe language norms when drafting official documents can lead to various misunderstandings, legal conflicts, and economic losses. Literature Review The issues of the language of official documents and professional speech culture have been widely studied within linguistics, particularly in the framework of functional stylistics. In Uzbek linguistics, the development of the theory of functional styles owes much to the works of scholars such as S. Mominov, M. Yo‘ldoshev, and N. Mahmudov. In particular, N. Mahmudov evaluates the official style as one of the important forms of the literary language and includes among its main features accuracy, standardization, and logical coherence. According to the scholar, the language of official documents serves as an important communicative tool in providing the legal basis of social relations. The structure and lexical features of the language of official documents are analyzed in detail in the works of M. Yo‘ldoshev. He identifies as the main characteristics of the official style the predominance of terminological units in official texts, the limited use of emotional-expressive means, and strict adherence to grammatical norms. These aspects fully apply to the language of economic documents as well. The issue of professional speech culture has been studied within the domains of language culture and communicative competence. S. Mominov interprets speech culture as an individual’s ability to use language resources purposefully and effectively in professional activity. In his view, professional speech culture reflects not only the level of a specialist’s knowledge but also his or her social responsibility. The specific features of the language of official documents in the economic sphere are closely related to economic terminology. A. Hojiyev pays particular attention to the adaptation of economic and social terms to the norms of the literary language and regards the precision and unambiguity of terms as an important condition for the effectiveness of official documents. This is crucial for preventing misinterpretation in economic documents. Analysis and Results The normative formation of the language of official documents in the field of economics and the development of professional speech culture are integral components of the modern management system. Official documents are the main means of regulating economic activity, through which relations between organizations, financial obligations, planning, and control processes are carried out. Consequently, the linguistic quality of such documents has a direct impact on the effectiveness of economic processes.Practical observations show that ambiguity in the language of official documents, disruption of logical coherence, or non-compliance with language norms give rise to economic misunderstandings at various levels. One of the main characteristics of the language of official documents is precision. Every word, phrase, or term used in economic documents must convey a specific meaning. In financial statements, contracts, and analytical economic documents, vague expressions or formulations that allow dual interpretation create serious risks. The analysis shows that the incorrect use of terms in economic documents, or their repetitive and overlapping use, can undermine the legal validity of a document. This indicates that the level of professional speech culture has not been adequately formed. Logical consistency and coherence are also essential requirements in the language of official documents. Economic documents are structured according to specific templates and a defined sequence. The introduction, main content, and final conclusions must be logically interconnected. Practical analysis reveals that the disordered arrangement of ideas in the text, excessive explanations, or digressions from the topic create difficulties for the recipient of the document. Such situations are often associated with insufficient speech training of economic specialists. During meetings, negotiations, presentations, and reporting, an economist must express ideas in an official, concise, and well-reasoned manner. Specialists lacking speech culture tend to use redundant words, allow logical breaks, and violate language norms, which may lead to misinterpretation of information. As a result, the process of making economic decisions is delayed or becomes ineffective. Standardization holds a special place in the language of economic documents. Many official documents are drawn up on the basis of prescribed templates, which also imply specific linguistic patterns. Standard expressions, set phrases, and official formulations ensure that the document belongs to the official style. Analyses show that correct use of standard linguistic units is an important indicator of professional speech culture. Conversely, the use of colloquial expressions in official documents leads to stylistic flaws in the text. Compliance with grammatical norms is another crucial requirement in the language of official documents. Spelling mistakes and incorrect use of case or tense forms in economic documents lower the overall level of the text. Practical observations indicate that even minor grammatical errors can cast doubt on the seriousness of a document. This, in turn, causes mistrust in economic dealings. Therefore, professional speech culture requires a high level of literacy from economic specialists. In the modern economic environment, the introduction of electronic document-flow systems further strengthens the requirements for the language of official documents. Electronic documents demand speed and conciseness, which makes brevity and clarity of the text essential. The results of the analysis show that redundant sentences and overly complex syntactic structures complicate the perception of electronic documents. Hence, when drafting official documents, economists must also take into account contemporary communicative requirements. The development of professional speech culture has a positive impact on both the internal and external relations of economic organizations. Documents drawn up in accordance with language norms enhance the reputation of the organization and strengthen trust-based relations with partners. Analyses demonstrate that documents prepared by specialists with a high level of speech culture require fewer corrections and are approved more quickly. This leads to savings in time and resources. In the field of economics, the language of official documents and professional speech culture are closely interconnected, and their harmony functions as an important factor determining the efficiency of economic management. Strict observance of language norms, deep understanding of the requirements of the official style, and continuous development of professional speech culture enhance the professional competence of economists. As a result, economic processes are carried out in an accurate, transparent, and efficient manner. Conclusion The language of official documents and professional speech culture in the field of economics are intrinsically interrelated and constitute an important component of economic activity. Through official documents, economic relations are regulated, obligations are determined, and management processes are implemented. Therefore, the precision, logical coherence, and conformity of the language of documents to norms directly affect the stability of the economic system. Professional speech culture plays a significant role in the daily work of economic specialists. The ability to draft official documents competently and clearly, to use terms appropriately, and to express ideas concisely increases the efficiency of work.
