This paper explores the diverse applications of AI in modern libraries and highlights its role in enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and user-centred services. AI tools such as Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Canva, and WIX are increasingly used for tasks like book classification, generating book reviews, creating library forms, preparing presentations, drafting emails, and automating minutes of meetings. In addition, AI supports research activities, competitive exam preparation, virtual assistance through chatbots, and the organization of workshops and conferences. By automating routine tasks and enabling intelligent information management, AI empowers librarians to deliver faster, more effective services while saving users’ time—the core objective of library operations. The paper concludes that integrating AI in libraries is essential for adapting to rapidly evolving technological environments and for improving access to information in the digital age. Introduction: Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science that seeks to give machine the ability to perform task similar to human intelligence. This includes task such as problem solving, learning, reasoning, and understanding language. In simple terms, artificial intelligence means we make computer so smart that they can think and act like us. Just as we learn things, computers can learn too. We ask questions they can answer them. If we look today, there is no such field where artificial intelligence (AI) is not been used. The use of AI is seen in all sectors likes’ education, technology agriculture, politics, and industry. for example, if we want to see, when we search for a product and e-Commerce, website, the same product start appearing in front of us, they are from different companies, have different prices, there are products in shops around our area, etc. artificial intelligence(AI), helps us a lot in buying that product, making our works very easy. Today through artificial intelligence (AI), is self -driving cars have been launched and are being using in many countries. Many robots have been created that are making human work easier. Therefore, it has become imperative for us to use artificial intelligence in our field to make progress in our field. Information is a just accumulating. Librarians are working to classify properly and reach right positions of information scientist, archivist, catalogue, knowledge manager, information analyst, and while working in these positions (artificial intelligence) can definitely be used. For this we should use AI in our daily work. This will make our work accurate and fast, and we can follow the fourth rule of the library, which is to save the reader’s time. Also, AI has also come to important websites like CANVA and WIX site, so you are work definitely be done smoothly and quickly. Classification-Book review/ summary: Every library has text, reference, story, novels; there are different types of books available such as a historical, biography, etc. If you want to place a books review or summary of a books by a famous authors on your library OPAC, you can create a book review or summary of any books in a few seconds through AI, which can create an interest in reading the books among the readers in the library. In libraries, books are classified and kept in shelves according to subject. Many times, librarians use many difference methods to classify, but through Google Gemini, chatgpt, we can find the extract classification number of any book. so you will see that a difficult task like classification is done in a few seconds. Libraries forms: different forms have to the created in the library, some Google forms some printed from need to be created, including membership, no dues, feedback, membership cancellation, books recommendation forms. We can create all these forms in a few seconds with the help of AI. PPT presentation: many committees, dignitaries, students, and researchers visiting the library. It is important to provide complete information about your library to those who are interested. for this, it is necessary to create a PPT to effectively present the information about your library. By using efforts tools likes CANVA, Google Gemini and Chat GPT, we can create a very beautiful PPT and increase the reputation of our library. Minutes of the meeting : Many meetings where held through the college / library there are a many occasions in which meetings are organized for various purposes like reviewing our daily work, committees reviews, annual meetings, training program, etc. however, it is a difficult to prepare the minutes of the meeting of those meetings. However, through AI, we can do this works in a few seconds and submit it immediately. This speed up the work and decisionmaking ability creating the possibility of making decisions on time. Email draft: a lot of e-mail work is done through the library, but professional if you want to create an email then of course you need to take the help of AI. Members take books to the library, if they are not a returned of quickly, the library has to send a notice via e-mail. For all matters such as purchasing books, magazines, e-books, databases, office work, we have to write e-mails from time to time, but if you don’t waste much time and just enter the subject through AI, the entire e-mail is created and received in a few seconds. Ph.D research: many researchers visit our library or the librarian. If the library staff and college professors are doing Ph.D., we can do many things in our research easily through AI and this can help us complete our Ph.D. as soon as possible. In research, there are many tasks likes questionnaire, survey, abstract, topic selection, research tools, references, data visualization, writing assistance, data analysis, research automation that we have to do while doing research and all these task are done very quickly and efficiently through AI and the research work gets accelerated and the research works can be complete quickly and an effective research thesis can be prepared. NET/ SET/ PET preparation: students/ library professional who are appearing for SET, NET, PET for all these we can study the answer to the questions, MCQ paragraph, definition, mock test, general knowledge, recent trends very well through AI like Google Gemini, Chat GPT. Ask a Librarian: this service is provided by the library to these members through which members we can communicate with the librarian through chatbot. Today there are many chatbots available which we can make available on our website, social media, through which members can ask their doubts or questions and get satisfactory answers. We can and definitely provides the Ask a librarian facility through AI. Workshop / conferences: The library has organized workshops/conferences on several occasions There is a lot of work from the beginning that is done by the organizing committee, which requires a lot of time and manpower, but by using CANNVA and WIXSite, we can do all the work like creating event brochures, websites email marketing, registration forms, certificates feedback, event videos, photos collages, reports, newsletters, letters, etc. through these two websites.AI can be used on both these websites and our work becomes faster and more effective. There are many daily office tasks that we can easily do through AI and create our own dominance by updating the library and ourselves. We only need some important technical skills that we need to master, which are available on a YouTube. Or there are many trainers who teach these courses for a nominal fee. In this article, since everything is connected to technology, the uses and benefits of each item have been given, but there are two sides to any coin, for example. As useful as mobile is, it can be misused, but we have to decide what we want and we should work accordingly. AI is the same way. If we use it for good work, then we can definitely progress ourselves and our library. By automating routine tasks, enhancing resource discovery, and offering personalized services, AI significantly improves both operational efficiency and user satisfaction. It enables libraries to better serve their communities through intelligent search, virtual assistance, data-driven decision-making, and improved accessibility. In conclusion, AI is not just a tool for innovation; it is a means to strengthen the core mission of libraries providing equitable access to information, supporting learning, and preserving knowledge for future generations.
