Trustworthy AI and Data-Sharing Spaces for the Slovak Music Centre

RESEARCH POSTER PRESENTATION DESIGN © 2019 www.PosterPresentations.com Most music is being recommended by algorithms, not only to subscribers of YouTube or Spotify but also to radio editors, concert promoters and festival organisers. This led to the conclusion that rights management organisations (CMOs) and music information centres (MICs) must improve their practices to remain competitive and visible. Using modern data-enriching techniques, we ensure that they have the most accurate 360° views of the repertoire they represent, and we guarantee that digital streaming services and search engines are informed about precise and up-to-date knowledge. SKCMDb: find any music ever made in Slovakia Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence Inform intelligent software agents and applications Nowadays, most data is downloaded and used by intelligent software agents on various digital services and platforms. To meet the modern service requirements of 2025, we needed to implement an enhanced implementation of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) that extends to privately held data. We need to communicate information and metadata about Slovak music in a way that musicologists, musicians and their managers, copyright law practitioners, citizen scientists, and software agents understand worldwide. Data Sharing Space A data (sharing) space is a system that integrates data whenever needed or permitted, with some labour-intensive aspects of data integration postponed until it is possible to carry them out. In our system design, we followed two important new European initiatives. In connecting cultural data, European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH), and the Feasibility study for the establishment of a European Music Observatory. The naïve and unethical use of AI causes significant damage to many fragile music ecosystems. Informed by data feminism, we want to upgrade music databases to knowledge bases that allow us to detect algorithmic biases or adverse outcomes of music recommender and royalty management systems. The Open Music Observatory offers collaborative solutions for organizations that do not have the size, ambition, or finances to build out their team of data engineers, scientists, and statisticians. We build collaborative data programs and apps for music distribution, information management, and environmental and social sustainability. Trustworthy AI for the Slovak Music Centre Slovak Comprehensive Music Database Federation We follow the European Interoperability Framework. What we do can be replicated in any European country; regional or genre-specific local dataspaces can join the services developed in Slovakia. We are building federation case studies with a Finno-Ugric Data Space (endangered language vocal music) and linking Jewish music heritage across borders.
