Abstract

This article examines the role of electronic payment systems in modern economies and their impact on financial security. The study analyzes the types of electronic payment systems, including mobile payments, online banking, and digital wallets, and evaluates their benefits and potential risks. Key issues such as fraud, cybersecurity threats, and regulatory challenges are discussed. The article also highlights best practices and strategies to enhance financial security and trust among users. They offer convenience, speed, and accessibility to both individuals and businesses. EPS include mobile payments, online banking, card transactions, and digital wallets. While these technologies improve efficiency, they also introduce new risks and challenges, particularly in the field of financial security [3,4]. MAIN PART Electronic payments refer to transactions where money is transferred digitally, without the use of physical cash. They are widely used in e-commerce, banking, and everyday financial operations [5,6,7]. Table 1. By implementing strong security measures, educating users, and leveraging advanced technologies such as blockchain, countries can maximize the benefits of EPS while minimizing risks.
