[email protected] Annotation: This article discusses fire safety threats in industrial facilities and the measures to eliminate them. The main fire safety threats identified in the article include electrical systems, technological processes, heat sources, flammable and explosive materials, non-compliance with fire safety regulations, mechanical damages, and natural phenomena. In addition, the requirements for fire extinguishing systems in industrial facilities, the importance of using modern technologies, and training employees are also emphasized. The article also highlights the advantages and necessity of using automated fire extinguishing systems. As a result, the importance of properly selected, installed, and regularly maintained fire extinguishing systems in minimizing fire risks and ensuring safety in industrial facilities is underscored. Introduction. Fire safety in industrial facilities is one of the most important issues in production processes. Such facilities require working with large-scale technological equipment, high temperatures, and various chemical substances; therefore, their safety requires constant attention. Fires in industrial facilities can cause serious damage and put human life and property at risk. Thus, it is necessary to identify the factors that are crucial for preventing fire risks in industrial facilities and managing them effectively. The aim is to present effective solutions aimed at reducing fire risks and ensuring safety in industrial facilities. Methodology. Issues of fire safety and its management in industrial facilities have been studied through numerous scientific researches, practical works, and theoretical approaches. Research conducted in this field involves applying various methodologies to reduce fire risks, ensure safety, and develop effective systems. The analysis of literature plays an important role in summarizing existing knowledge and identifying different methods of managing fire safety. As a methodology, there are statistical and technical analysis methods used to evaluate the effectiveness of approaches based on experiments, practice, and engineering solutions. In addition, the human factor, employee training, and methods of managing their activities also play an important role in ensuring fire safety. In the literature, a number of experimental studies have been conducted to examine the advantages and effectiveness of automatic fire extinguishing systems. These studies confirm that it is possible to minimize fire risks through automation of systems and the use of digital monitoring technologies. These methods play an important role in reducing risks and ensuring safety in industrial facilities. The main fire hazards in industrial facilities can vary and include the following aspects: 1. Electrical systems and equipment: Wires, electrical devices, and equipment can become sources of fire due to short circuits, overheating, overloads, or improper installation. 2. Technological processes: Uncontrolled chemical reactions, overheating of equipment, and non-compliance with technological operating modes can lead to fires or explosions. 3. Heat sources: High temperatures, open flames, welding, or heating devices can cause the ignition of flammable materials. 4. Storage and use of flammable and explosive materials: Improper storage and use of such materials can lead to fires or explosions. 5. Non-compliance with fire safety regulations: Insufficient employee training, neglect of fire safety rules, and lack of monitoring and control systems can increase the risk of fire. 6. Mechanical damage: Equipment collapse, industrial accidents, or vehicle collisions can damage systems and structures, potentially leading to fires. 7. Natural phenomena: Lightning strikes, strong winds, earthquakes, and other natural events can also threaten fire safety in industrial facilities.

Fire extinguishing systems in industrial facilities must meet strict requirements to provide effective fire protection and minimize potential threats to employees, equipment, and property. The main requirements for fire extinguishing systems in industrial facilities are: 1. Compliance with regulations: Fire extinguishing systems must be designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with local and international standards such as GOST, SNiP, NFPA, FM Global, and others. 2. Selection of system type: Depending on the characteristics of the facility (type of building, type of activity, presence of specific hazards, etc.), the most appropriate type of fire protection system must be selected: automatic fire alarm systems, automatic fire extinguishing systems, fire alarm and notification systems. 3. Reliability and efficiency: Fire extinguishing systems must be reliable and ensure high efficiency in the event of a fire. This includes proper selection and installation of equipment, regular maintenance, and testing of system performance. 4. Use of modern technologies: Fire extinguishing systems should incorporate modern technologies such as automatic smoke and heat detectors, intelligent control systems, network monitoring systems, and others. 5. Compliance of materials and components with requirements: All materials and components used in fire extinguishing systems must comply with established standards and possess quality certificates. 6. Employee training: Employees must be trained in the proper use of fire extinguishing systems, evacuation procedures, and response actions in the event of a fire. 7. Compliance with environmental requirements: Fire extinguishing systems must meet environmental standards and not cause harm to the environment. 8. Testing and quality control: Fire extinguishing systems must undergo regular testing and quality control to ensure their reliable operation in the event of a fire. Compliance with all these requirements helps ensure a high level of fire protection in industrial facilities and reduces potential risks to employees and property. The use of automatic fire extinguishing systems in industrial facilities is of great importance for ensuring employee safety and protecting property and equipment from fire hazards. Rapid response: Automatic fire extinguishing systems respond instantly to fire signals, helping reduce response time and limit the spread of fire. 2. Effectiveness: Carefully designed and properly installed automatic fire extinguishing systems provide high efficiency in extinguishing fires, helping to prevent major damage and potential loss of life. 3. Risk minimization: The use of automatic fire extinguishing systems helps minimize risks to employees, equipment, and property, as these systems are activated automatically without human intervention. 4. Loss reduction: With rapid response and high effectiveness, automatic fire extinguishing systems help reduce losses caused by fires, including property damage and loss of production capacity. 5. Compliance with standards: The use of automatic fire extinguishing systems ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements that are essential for maintaining safety in industrial production. However, for the effective use of automatic fire extinguishing systems in industrial facilities, the following aspects must be taken into account: Careful design: The systems must be designed taking into account the specific characteristics of the facility, including the type of activity, building features, the presence of specific hazards, and other factors. Selection of the appropriate system type: Depending on the specific characteristics of the facility and its potential threats, the most suitable type of automatic fire extinguishing system (such as sprinkler systems, gas systems, foam extinguishing systems, etc.) should be selected. Regular maintenance: It is essential to provide regular maintenance and inspections to ensure the reliable operation of the systems. Employee training: Employees must be trained in the proper use of automatic fire extinguishing systems and be familiar with evacuation procedures in the event of a fire. Results. Research and practical recommendations carried out to ensure fire safety and reduce risks in industrial facilities have led to a number of important outcomes. These results highlight

Monte Carlo methods and simulation models have been found to be particularly important for predicting fire risks and optimizing systems. These methods make it possible to more accurately assess the probability of fire occurrence and potential hazards. The Importance of Compliance with Fire Safety Regulations:A review of the literature has shown that strict compliance with fire safety regulations plays a crucial role in reducing risks and enhancing the efficiency of systems in industrial facilities. It has been confirmed that the implementation of fire safety systems in accordance with both international and local standards such as GOST, SNiP, and NFPA is essential. This not only reduces fire hazards but also protects human life and property. Use of Modern Technologies:The application of modern technologies in industrial facilities has been shown to provide significant benefits in ensuring fire safety. Technologies such as automatic smoke and heat detectors, intelligent control systems, and network monitoring increase the reliability and efficiency of fire protection systems. These systems enable the rapid detection and prevention of fire spread. The Importance of Employee Training:Training employees in fire safety and teaching them the proper use of automatic systems facilitates rapid and effective response in the event of a fire. Enhancing employees’ knowledge of fire safety is a critical factor in reducing fire risks in industrial facilities. Advantages of Automatic Fire Extinguishing Systems:Automatic systems offer rapid response, risk minimization, and loss reduction in the event of a fire. The proven effectiveness of these systems demonstrates that they are among the most efficient means of detecting and eliminating fires. This makes them a key factor in ensuring safety within industrial facilities. Maintenance and Monitoring Systems:Regular maintenance and continuous monitoring of automatic systems help ensure their reliability. Routine inspections and updates are essential components in reducing fire risks and maintaining system performance. Conclusion: Ensuring fire safety in industrial facilities is not only important for improving the efficiency of production processes but also for safeguarding employees. This study has examined key

Automatic fire extinguishing systems make it possible to detect fires quickly and eliminate them effectively, while playing a major role in ensuring employee safety. Regular employee training in fire safety, as well as the implementation of maintenance and monitoring systems, is equally important to ensure the reliable operation of these systems. New technologies, including automatic control systems and monitoring tools, also stand out as effective means of preventing fire hazards. At the same time, research and recommendations on fire safety in industrial facilities highlight the need for scientifically grounded approaches in order to develop effective solutions for minimizing fire risks. Such approaches not only enhance safety but also ensure the continuity of production processes and reduce material losses. Thus, ensuring and effectively managing fire safety in industrial facilities can be achieved through strict adherence to all requirements, the use of modern technologies, and the training of employees.
