Discussion Clinicalassessmentoflimbalischemiaafterchemicalinjury ischallengingandstudieshavedemonstratedlowclinical agreementandinter-observerconsistency.[1]FAandICGAare usefultoolsinidentifying,quantifying,andmonitoringtheMCA andlimbalvasculature.[2,4,5]Ourcaseofchemicalinjuryhighlights thelimitsofclinicalcolorphotographyindetectingthesevascular abnormalities.Itisofnotethatthevascularabnormalities remainedovera6-yearperiodandwerenotapparentonslit-lamp biomicroscopyorcolorphotography.AlthoughOCTAisan alternativeandlessinvasiveprocedurethanFAandICGA, itprovideslimitedinformationaboutvesselmaturity.Early fluoresceinleakageisamakerofvesselimmaturityandorvessel damage.ICGdoesnotleakfromhealthyvesselsandtheleakage presentinthiscaseindicatestheextentofthevasculardamage.
